Chicken Stieg, May 5, 2022 - July 19, 2026.

Chicken was one of a kind. Not just because he was an “odd eyed naked cat” but because he loved beyond what we could ever imagine. He healed us.

Chicken was the vocal type, he never stopped “talking” and if you closed him out of a room he would open the door himself and get right back in the middle of whatever was happening. He never wanted to miss out! Which could explain why when he was put on “kitty hospice” in November, only expected to live one week, he decided to prove everyone wrong and stay with us for eight more beautiful months!

He was the type of cat that started the day with us. When the alarm clock went off he was up too. He drank from the faucet while we brushed our teeth, he sat on the counter and watched as we made our morning coffee, he followed us to the door as we left and cried as soon as we shut it for the day. Chicken could hear the car door when we returned and was always waiting for us right where we left him. As soon as we would enter he would immediately jump on his mamas shoulder, curl up in a ball, & smell her face to see where she had been. We did this routine every single day for four years straight.

Chicken was our baby and four years was simply not long enough with him. He was such a huge part of our lives that we now have a massive void not only in our home but in our hearts. He will forever be loved, missed and remembered.

We know he’s in a better place and he will be waiting on us when we meet again so he can sniff our faces and see where we have been.
