Ellie was our best girl. She was adopted by my husband hours before being euthanized at a shelter in Colorado. She was the absolute best co-pilot. She loved having her head out of the window on every car ride. From the first time I met her, she was my girl. Anywhere I went, she was there. She would not go to bed until I did. Whenever she got really excited she would snort like a pig, especially when we gave her ear scratches. Our lives will not be the same without her. But we know she will be waiting for us at the gates of Heaven when we get there.
