Obituary

Garfield Glenn Woolsey passed away on July 17th, 2024. He was a burnt orange tabby with beautiful orangish-brown eyes. Garfield joined our lives in 2012 when he was about 6 months old. He was found by a friend of ours as a stray kitten and the moment we saw him we knew he was going to change our lives forever. When Garfield was brought home he was immediately playful and energetic. As he grew older he became relaxed and laid back, constantly laying in the sun or in his bed. He absolutely loved food with everything from dry cat food, to fancy feast, to chicken nuggets, but his favorite food of all was a five layer burrito from Taco Bell. Even though he was laid back, his playful side would come out from time to time; however, I caught very few of these moments on video since he was camera shy. Garfield knew exactly what he wanted and how to get it. Anytime he was hungry, he would meow at us until we followed him to his food bowl. Anytime he wanted to go outside, he would rub his face against the front door. And anytime he wanted to just cuddle up, he would put all of his weight into throwing himself on his side to lay on us. He was the most loving, cuddly, and caring cat I've ever met and he got me through the hardest times in my life. Everyone that met him would say the same. Garfield is survived by his mother and father (Taylor Gerber and Joshua Woolsey), his grandma and step grandpa (Misty Johnson and Kyle Johnson), his grandpa (Eddie Gerber), his aunt (Maleah Gerber), and his sister (Piper Woolsey). Garfield will forever live in our hearts and always be our "buddy" and "baby boy."
