Obituary

Gracie defied the Doberman stereotype; I felt she was the best of the Doberman breed. She was sweet, intelligent, and loyal. Gracie never hurt a fly; she always made everyone happy wherever she went. Every dog has a personality, and Gracie was no different. Gracie demanded you feel happy around her; she'd push up against you, and demand pets! When she wanted to run, you better get up! She scratched and pawed until she got her way. However, it made us both better. I lost 50 lbs because of her. While I can't go up Wheeler peak with her, I took her to Palo Duro Canyon. I ran all over Dumas, and the church and friends loved seeing her. I trusted her so much, I did not even need a leash while running with her!

Whenever I went through life's tornadoes, Gracie followed and comforted me. When I was at my lowest, Gracie woke up and comforted me. She knew when I needed help, and was always there. I even fought an apartment complex lease to be with her!

In the end, Gracie brought out the best in me. Relish every moment with your pets; I did with Gracie.
