JACKSON ( JAX ) 2017 – 2024
Jackson came into my life when I didn't even know I needed a dog. My granddaughter was dog-sitting and the owner never came back for him. He was not supposed to be here permanently. At least that is the story I was told. He was the cutest big puppy and a little goofy. It didn't take long for me to bond with him and I think he knew he belonged to me. He did. He was MY dog and he followed me everywhere I went. He would even wait outside the bathroom door. At night he slept on the rug in my bedroom until I eventually gave him a pillow and blanket of his own. He practically laid on my feet all the time and loved laying on my shoes. He loved my new green velvet chairs. He was so comfortable in the big green chair and claimed it as his own. He would paw at me to ask if he could get in it. I am so glad I eventually gave in and let him get in it. Lots of memories and videos.
He was a great guard dog and LOVED the trash truck. He would almost break down the door to get out when it came, along with his best dog friend Bailey. They were attached at the hip. She was younger and had more energy than Jax, but he tried his hardest to keep up with her. They would run the yard together, dig holes together, and were the happiest, spoiled dogs ever. When Bailey passed he looked for her and waited for her. It was heartbreaking.
Jax was the best buddy anyone could ask for and even though he was older, we were not ready for him to leave us. All of my grandchildren and our friends loved him so much.
There will never be any other pet that can take his place. Jax is in our memories and our hearts forever. You were loved and will be missed, Jax ♥
