In Loving Memory of K9 Jack
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of K9 Jack, a beloved retired police dog, who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community. K9 Jack passed away peacefully at the age of 13 on February 10, 2025.
K9 Jack served as a loyal and brave member of the Dimmitt Police Department for 5 years. During his service, he was instrumental in the apprehension of suspects, the detection of narcotics, and the protection of officers. His intelligence, loyalty, and skill were unmatched, and he formed an unbreakable bond with his handler, Officer S. Holcomb, and the entire department. Together, they made countless contributions to keeping our streets safe.
After retiring in 2019, K9 Jack enjoyed a well-deserved life full of love and comfort with his family. He was a cherished companion, and will be remembered fondly for his playful spirit, devotion, and ability to bring joy to everyone he met.
K9 Jack leaves behind his handler, Officer Holcomb, and a family who will always treasure the memories of his remarkable service and companionship.
