There are dogs, and then there are once-in-a-lifetime souls. Samson Blue was one of those souls.
To many, he was a dog. To us, he was our son, our heart, our constant companion, and a light that made every day brighter. The house feels quieter now, and the emptiness he leaves behind is impossible to put into words.
Samson loved everyone he met. As a certified therapy dog, he had a gift for bringing comfort, joy, and healing to people who needed it most. He never met a stranger. Whether he was visiting someone in need, soaking up attention from new friends, or making someone smile on a difficult day, Samson's love knew no limits.
One of his favorite places was Petco. The excitement in his eyes whenever he got to go was something we will never forget. He loved the adventure, the people, the smells, and every bit of attention that came his way.
Even after paralysis changed his life, it never changed who Samson was. His spirit remained strong, his heart remained full, and his love never wavered. He faced every challenge with courage and determination, teaching us lessons about resilience, grace, and unconditional love.
At home, he adored being with his family. He loved having his sister, Mable, play with him on his bed. He found comfort in having his brother, Chaos, nearby, faithfully watching over him throughout the day. Their bond was a beautiful reminder that love exists without words.
Samson was also known for his conversations. He always had something to say, and his voice filled our home with personality and joy. And if you knew Samson, you knew how much he loved his stuffed animals. Watching him happily suck on them brought him comfort and brought us endless smiles.
Samson's life was not measured by the challenges he faced but by the love he gave. And what a tremendous amount of love he gave. He touched countless lives, both human and animal, and left paw prints on hearts that will never fade.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him. We will miss his voice, his spirit, his determination, his gentle soul, and the unconditional love he gave so freely.
Run free now, sweet boy. No more pain. No more limitations. Just endless fields to explore, stuffed animals to carry, and all the love you spent a lifetime giving returned to you.
You were more than our dog.
You were our son.
You were our moon and stars.
You were our Samson Blue.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
