Obituary

Tyson was my best boy and gave me unconditional love for over 11 years. Tyson chose to be my constant shadow and my best protector. He took his job seriously and was always protecting me whether from the neighborhood cats, delivery drivers or making sure I never drowned in the tub. He let me cry on him during the hard times and he put up with all the dancing and being silly during the good times. He loved me in spite of myself. When I took him to Puppy Kindergarten for some training the instructor told me, "Oh man—a lab. (Then proceeded to laugh heartily) Everything you have heard about labs is true—good luck!" Tyson was so smart and always a little naughty. He destroyed many shoes, books, boots, remotes and plants as a puppy. As he got older and larger he helped to "lab" test any foods that were unfortunate enough to be left out on the counter—always looking out for me and saving me calories. No matter what kind of trashcan I got—he would always find a way to inspect the contents and make sure I had not discarded anything he disapproved of. He dealt with several puppies after him and was a good younger and older brother—his fur-friends Marlee, Jedi and Chata miss him too. I walk around my home now and no one bumps into me from behind if I stop short. His missing presence has left a hole in ny heart and in my home, but I know he is with my grandmother and his other fur-friends that have gone before him and that brings me comfort. I will see him again and that reunion will be spectacular. Fly high my boy—I will love you always!!
